I played twice at the C2C and i didn't hear any country music whatsoever. As far as i know I was the only steel player there for the whole weekend. Most of the bands i heard sounded like a mixture of 70's glam rock and 80's hair metal, both done terribly. It was, to my ears, a bad rock festival. Sorry kids, i don't get it.

I was with Jess (Clemmons) and the Bandits. We played in the Brooklyn bowl on saturday and sunday afternoon. I put a little ad up in the 'who is playing where' section. We have more shows coming up over the summer. I'll keep you posted. The material is still very pop, even though she is from Texas and she's got steel on her record, played, i believe by Dan Dugmore. BUT, it's a s**t ton better than anything else i heard at C2C.

That aside, i suppose it's a good thing that at the very least the banner of country music has a voice in the UK, even if it isn't to everybody's taste.

it's a start, that's for sure. Lets hope an anti "Bro-country" movement gets started and we can get some decent music over here!
Sorry I missed you matt. I'll keep an eye out for you.
