John has been integral to my path to the pedal steel guitar.
He has given up hours of his time to offer me advise, instruction, honest opinions, tea, sandwiches and even a loan of his last copy of NRPS' Powerglide and for these I'm forever grateful.

For a novice like myself, having someone who fosters your passion and that you feel you can trust is invaluable.

Long live the oracle.

Enough is not enough, I have to get in on this one as well. I cannot believe Will called you a pillock, John Davis is a wonderful man who gives his time, his knowledge and all his experience to anything and everything pedal steel. I have only met him once, a couple of years ago at the NESGF and I really enjoyed his company. His enthusiasm knows no bounds. John, you deserve to be suitably embarrassed.
