Back in the early 80s, my band was hired to play at a golden wedding party in a local hotel. We knew many of the folks in attendance, including the couple.

The band played very well - perhaps too well - but unfortunately after a fairly fast dance, the male of the couple collapsed with a heart attack - and subsequently died right there at the party.

Obviously that put an early end to the celebration party.

After that experience, I never felt comfortable using the expression "we killed them" to describe to my wife how a gig went.

Oh my. I think you won. We had someone keel over with a stroke one time but by all accounts he survived. He was not leading a healthy lifestyle to be honest. Sounds a bit cold but we kept playing. What?

I admire your, "keep right on to the end of the road", spirit Jonathan :guitar: reminiscent of the band on the Titanic, they'd have been a bit cold, too, I imagine.
