Hi Malcolm,

I'm still hoping you'll reconsider. After all it was you that introduced me to the Gartcosh Support Group (for seasoned pros and wannabe steelers like me) and dished up continual encouragement. And, although I know it's none of my business, I don't think there's a cash value you could put on the enjoyment of music, especially PSG.

Also, falling off a microlight's a lot worse than falling off a pak-a-seat!
Sleep on it, please......... :(

Malcolm
I can't say just how sorry I am to read your post. You are one of the good guys on the circuit and to get demoralised to the point where you want to wrap up playing is such a great shame. I gave up for 7 years when my best friend and musical partner died of cancer some 20 years ago, and regret that decision now. It took a lot of hard work to get back to a half decent level. I should at least have kept playing at home and so should you. You are a good player and our small number of players on these islands can barely afford to have one of its established players walk away from the instrument. :o :(

Have a break away from the instrument for a week or two and I am sure you will be itching to get back on it.

Ken, thank you for your comments, getting to know you over these last few years has been a pleasure, and I regard you as a good friend. This decision has been made over the last year or so and not just a spur of the moment thing.I do respect your advice but I don't think I will change my mind. Many thanks Malcolm.

Malcolm, I am shocked , does this mean we won't even see you as a spectator at the SSGW. you will be greatly missed. Can you still send the £5.00 every month.
