Has anyone got one of these (mini) pedals ?
I bought one some time ago for about £150 and found it extremely "fiddely" . I checked the set up on You tube and it fried My few remaining brain cells. I eventually gave up and the pedal is now gathering dust.
Unless someone can direct Me to a simple method of getting a decent sound I will bin it.
I will sell it at a huge discount so if anyone is interestd then make an off by P.M. and We will see.

Billy I have the bigger ToneX, extremely hard to program, got Four of Joe’ captures, like you now lying gathering dust. Just to fiddly to use on live gigs, thinking on selling and going for Sesh 400 pedal, or the New Peavey one, not made mind up yet. ToneX definitely good for recording but a pain in the **** on live gigs, anybody interested talk to me, got Little Walter, Webb, Sarno, Jerry Douglas dobro( that last one is superb.

No one seems interested and I was within a few inches of putting it in the bin. I was speaking to a well known friend by phone on Sunday and He said He may like to try it out,so I wll send it tomorrow and will not accept a return, or in fact any payment.I bet He can get it to sing like a canary.

Guys, I have the new Peavey 400 LTD pedal if you want to borrow to road test.

Davie how do you rate it? I am swithering between the Peavey one and the TC Furlong version, saw some comments on US forum about white noise on some of the Peavey ones.

I used it at a festival a couple of months ago. On stage it sounded nice and punchy with no noise, but the sound guy said he was getting some white noise through his desk. I was using a Boss 9v psu so not sure if it was that. Might have been ok using a battery. Like I said, its here if you want to try it out. One thing is it doesnt have reverb or delay, so you would need another way of providing that.

Thanks Davie, that confirms the reviews in US forum, think I will go with TC Furlong one as no white noise on it.

There has been some advice recently about keeping the sensitivity down on the new Peavey pedal to avoid white noise. "Unnecessary" levels can contribute to white noise according to Bill Ferguson/John Fields. Their words, not mine.

All of my amps suffer from my house's ground noise when recording direct with a standard guitar lead. (Or I don't know if it's computer usb noise when recording). A way I've got round this on the Sesh 400 is to lower the sensitivity and then also use an IR pedal (Sonic Cake) afterwards in the chain, with the volume boosted. This seems to keep things quiet whilst giving you the noise floor required. It also gives you a speaker emulation which you really need with pre amp pedals direct, anyway.

A DI with the ground lifted works wonders for my Quilter 202 but lifting the ground on the Sesh creates an even louder buzz so I'm really happy to have found the IR pedal way of managing it. (Not the fault of the pedals in anyway.)

I have no reason to buy the new one. I really like the Sesh 400 sound. I'm not a country snob, (unless it comes to watches), but I really appreciate the fact that the TC model is made in the USA too.
