This photo was taken at Dallas a few years ago in the Show Pro room. Sitting to my right out of shot was the one and only Mike Johnson. He set my steel up for me as I had only just taken delivery of it, and Mike was working for Jeff Surratt setting up and tuning the new Show Pro guitars for their new owners. Mike and I had a jam together after this pic was taken, and it was one of the biggest pleasures of my life.

Nice pic Ken. Can you actually get Guinness in Dallas? Probably. And you know that Mike is my favourite steel player, bar none.

You're a man of good taste Gary. Mike is a monster player, and a real tonehound. He goes to extraordinary lengths to get great, quiet tone.

Re Guinness - the answer is YES.

It is 2022...the sideburns and long hair are now gone. Unfortunately I've had an addition of a stone in other weight
