***Ideal opening for a younger steel player - be quick!***

A friend of mine from Cincinnati received the following from a lady looking for a steel player to appear in a commercial in Portugal, and sent it to me. I am way too old for what they are looking for, but it's an ideal opening for a younger, photogenic player. Here is the email concerned.

Hello ******,

I am casting a very well paid TV commercial for United Airlines and looking for a Pedal Steel guitar player to appear in it.

The commercial shoots in Portugal between 19th and 21st August and would be one shooting day per person with travel either side.

All travel and accommodation is also arranged and paid for by production.

Casting is next week on the 6th and 8th August in London.

Callback with the director on the 14th August in London.

We can accept tapes if people are not available to attend i.e. if they are out of London.

It would be fantastic if you could pass the message on to your members of your Facebook group (Pedal Steel Guitar Advice Tips & Tricks) as soon as possible as this has come in at very short notice!

Musicians interested should send us an email with United in the subject to [email protected] including a photo and a downloadable video playing the instrument as well as contact details.

Alternatively they can contact us for further information by email or on 020 7490 8882.

The deadline for receiving tapes is the [i]3rd August (Friday) 9am
.

Thanks so much in advance.

I've heard the job has already been taken.

Then again I could turn up with the Yorkshire charm and steal somebody's job haha.
Kind Regards, Steven Hicken Jr.

I was advised that the position was filled very rapidly, so will ask Admin to close this one down please. Many thanks.
