Loan or Hire Request

Bob Would like to try the pedal steel but as my location is on the isle of lewis there is not a lot of opportunity! Do you know of anyone willing to hire or lend for a few months before I commit to purchase. Kind regards

Hi Bob,
I am not trying to hijack or anything like that.I think this story is relevant.
Many years ago when I got the bug,I visited a player who was selling and after a long demonstration and discussion I asked if I could have the instrument on a sale or return basis.The gent refused.The guitar he was selling was £400.
He actually did Me a favour,I eventually bought a guitar some years later which was more than three times His price.I had a helluva time learning the basics and it was the fact that I had paid such a high price that kept Me trying.Had I bought the cheaper guitar I would probably have sold it very soon after acquiring it.
I do'nt quite know if the gent from Lewis is looking for a guitar on a sale or return basis or just a loan to see if He can get anywhere with it.
It is a great pity He is not able to visit someone to "have a Go"
I doubt if I would loan a guitar to a newbie, I have had a few "non" players come to My house for Me to give them a "basic" run down and try out on My instrument in order to give them an insight what it is all about
