Best of luck on your venture Slim. I did it and have never looked back. My Sho-Bud pedal steel just sits in it's case. All my stuff on soundcloud is on lap steel. I use a regular sized pedal steel bar (One of Basils) as I find the extra length very handy for slants. In the tab section you should find my tab for Nightlife. Like you I am using C6 with a high G but on my stripped down ZB I use high G and a D. I must admit though the pull tends to be toward my National so even thinking of putting the ZB to bed. Another trick - see if you can play some of your old pedal steel licks. They are there although there is a lot you will not be able to do.

If you behave yourself I may even tab out Weldon Myricks one pedal two finger two string thingy that fits everything for you :o unless you already have it. :D

Dare not post it here cos this is for pedal steel :o but if you go to lap steel you will hear a couple of pedal licks.

Slim, if you can do half the damage on a plank that you did on PSG then it's gonna be great. ;) ;)
Best of luck and God bless ya mate.

Best of luck, you'll do great! You helped me a lot when I started so I'm sure you know how to get the best out of it.
