Ralph Mooney Has passed
There are not enough words to describe the Moon and His playing,a true Legend.
Rest in Peace Moon.

What can one say? another great steel player gone. R.I.P. Ralph Mooney. What the man brought to steel guitar music was pure magic.

Yes ditto. I saw him at Wembley with Waylon Jennings. Mooney was playing his beaten up Fender pedal steel, but still came up with his trademark licks. He was one of the genuine stylists who didn't copy anyone else.

Sad news, another legend I never got to see live has departed. A great steeler.
