I owe a lot to Pete. He got me started on this journey we are all taking and I will always be grateful to him.
He won't even remember me, but if by chance someone passes this thread on to him, please accept my eternal thanks.

Done Tony. Pete's memory isn't what it was unfortunately. He says he remembers your name but not the face. He has met literally thousands of people in his life, so some of them blur with time. He said he appreciates your thanks.

Ken, that would be great if you could get an interview from Pete. As you stated Pete was certainly a busy steelplayer back in the late 60s and 70s doing many sessions such as two of Keith Manifold's LP albums plus his own that you have already stated. It 's good that contact as been made with him again as he did disappear from the scene.

I've got the interview Roy. I just need to type it up now. I'll let you have it when it's done.

How's this for a coincidence. On the day your posted (Wed.) I was actually on Canvey, where you said he now lives.
Hadn't been there for years - life takes funny turns at times.
