Mike Johnson on RFD

I have just spent the last couple of hours on the USA's RFD channel, watching a tribute to Ray Price on the Country's Family Reunion series. Mike Johnson is the bandleader as normal, and he just plays the most sublime Buddy Emmons kick offs and solos you could wish to hear. Buddy himself is in the audience, and the look of pleasure on his face as he watches Mike perform his magic is a joy to behold. I am going to watch these shows every day until I get fed up with it.

I don't have Sky either Roy, as I have Virgin cable. I pay a subscription to RFD, and watch the shows (there are loads of them) on my computers. I have had an account for the last 18 months and its great. The recordings are in HD, and if you have a laptop with an HDMI output socket you can run it through a flatscreen TV. Cool.

A great selection can be found on YouTube for those who don't either cable or sky. It come under "Country's Family Reunion at the Opry"and like Ken, I can loose myself for hours watching Mike Johnson along with the great house band he works with. ...Just good traditional County Music.
