Well now, I am at real lost for words as to the kind words & compliments from Bob. Thank you.
I also agree with the other members posts on the amount time & effort you and the others put into doing the fine things you do,
for the benefit of the site & it's members.
I know 1st hand how difficult it can be to organise & run (smoothly) a monthly steel club, I did it for almost 10 years, and the annual XMAS steel parties. (ps. this is all in the process of being resurrected, details later ) .
As you may have noticed, I have not been on the site very much and there is so much still to do, having been in hospital
and moving home, etc. and now rehearsing for a mini tour. (details will be put in the appropriate section).
I am pleased to see so many NEW members and adding their contributions to the site,
all in the name of this god forsaken thing they call a *knitting machine*, sorry, steel guitar.

Keep picking and plenty of practice, hope to catch up with some of you, somewhere on the road.

I too thank all the hard work. If it was not for this forum I would still have my steel at the back of the garage - but having had a look through I decided to get it out again. This led me to buying another and then going to the Barnham Festival. I have never met such a friendly bunch of guys and it has really pulled me back into it again.. Now cant stop.

I know that South London Steelies meet on a regular basis but is there anything else in the East Anglia area that happens on a regular basis - if so let me know.

Once again thanks for the forum but even more - thanks to those who go out of their way to teach others. You are the heros.

Your post and those like it are what makes this all worthwhile.

Not so many years ago this instrument of ours and the people involved with it were theeee ‘best kept secret.’

You really struggled get anything tangible out there on PSG. Instruments, players, gigs, instruction, technical, anything!!!

There was the square root of Zippo!!

But not any more!

We now have steel meetings all over the country ........... and as for info!

If it ain’t here we’ll find it for you!

I say yes to all that's been said, what other instrument can collect such a helpfull bunch of guys, and as been said, it's like we all know each other even thou some of us have never met.
Sometime's there is too much input, and at my age it get's me a little confused, so I have to go a little slower, signe's of altzimers, can't even spell it, what were we talking about?.
