Happy birthday Mr Gibson. Maybe scale it down if you need to or change to lapsteel nice and light,or get a roadie.

or take a leaf out of Mr Byrds book, see below.
"taking a great delight in giving lap steel lessons to the young musicians who showed interest in insuring that the lap steel remained an important instrument in Hawaiian music. While living in Hawaii, Byrd had a regular weekly gig with his trio at the Royal Hawiian Hotel that lasted until his death."
I had a really good friend, who was a great piano player, and worked in Abbey road studios, and as a professional arranger (Geoff Love being one orchestra he md'd with) He still gigged till his health failed at 92 and used to lug his Korg 88note piano and amp to gigs, jazz orchestras he had a dolly, and people would help him. He also taught me and my young sons for a time, more in a few years than I learned in 11 years as a kid.
We have had no contact, but as I see it age will catch up with you faster if you stop.
Have a lovely day
John
