Database of British steel guitars

Sun Jul 10, 2011 10:17 am

Picking up on Bob Adams' excellent suggestion of a database of steel guitars complete with their serial numbers, I reckon this would be beneficial for all of us here. As someone who once had his Sho-Bud nicked out of his car, embarrassingly I was unable to give the police the serial number. Although I was lucky to get it back intact, I had to produce photos of my steel in order to get it back from the police. I have made sure I keep the SN's since.

Great idea, surely we should support it in every way.
Such a pity we didnt have a data base all those years ago, would be great to be able to track where all our past steels have gone.
I would certainly help out if anyone want to take up the reins.
Dave.

This is,surely a must for us steelies, I have a fair amount of ZB steel serial numbers which are available to
anybody who wants to start this neccessary project. I'm not sure how much time this would take, probably
suit a retired person with a fair amount of time on his/hers hands. :D
You'll have my full support on this ! 8-)
All the best
