News of steel players

Well chaps, I'm brewing up another little venture. I'm hoping that a few more hands go up now that we are no longer complete novices. I have just thought of a number for suggestion, and will put it up for debate shortly. Fingers crossed we can get it off the ground while most of us still have a little spare time to participate.

I've woke up with a dodgy left ear. Hoping it is not a long term infection but I'll still play. Really enjoyed the last one.

I'd like to get in on this too, if you'll have me? Your last project turned out great!

Have a suggestion for a combi-tune. Islands In The Stream in C and Ab. However, please feel free to throw any other suggestions into the hat.
Any level of player is welcome, all you need is to have access to recording facilities where you can record your steel playing the whole length of the track. Please feel free to PM me for any detailed info at this stage.

Without wanting to decry the considerable effort and musicality displayed by the last venture, could I suggest the next tune is something with a melody?
I didn't know the tune you chose to showcase, and have no desire to acquaint myself with it.
One of the things I love about pedal steel is its ability to stretch tunes almost to the extreme, and then resolve. Ken - When You Wish Upon a Star, which you began to play when you came to the Buck Inn - that's the kind of thing I mean. I hope this is not seen as criticism, just a constructive comment.
My best to all who made the last one and who may contribute to the next one.

Okay Nick - I accept that we all have different points of view when it comes to music. The last project was a reasonably well known ballad with a strong melody, so I threw in a subsequent suggestion of a number that was slightly more up-tempo. If there are any other ideas then we can have a discussion on the pros and cons of each tune. I have noted your suggestion of When You Wish.......Nick, but I'm not sure that it would be everyone's cup of tea.
If there is little or no appetite for a follow up to out initial venture, then it's not a problem. We've done it and some of us put in a lot of work to get it off the ground.

Danny has agreed to be the production maestro again. Hopefully I can take advantage of his Dropbox account to store the track, sheet music PDFs and photos of the players.
Mike Hearn - any interest?

Yeah count me in . Name the tune and tell me the key. I take it there was a backing track somewhere for us to have access to?
