Help needed for Carter guitar

Postby Paulcouk » Mon Apr 14, 2025 9:48 pm

Hi Everyone
Carter single 10 string
Its is a long story..some years ago I couldent use my left leg because of a stroke..
I changed my pedals from the left to right..Last year I changed them back again, but had trouble getting the right rod, I couldent get 3/32 rod so used 2mm
on the tunning peg's the thread was so small it wouldent grip the nylon pegs
recently I got hold of the 3/32 rod and fresh nylon pegs and dog bones
Now the problem is A pedal changes string 5 and 10 ..B pedal changes 3 and 6 strings ..and C changes 4 and 5...and the upper leaver loweres 5 and 10
but for some reson I have one bell shank over and Im not sure where it is surposed to go
I have the gear down on B pedal, and on the upper leaver
any idea ...Thank you... Paul

Hi Jhon

I think its too far too traval..I live in Swansa, Wales
and at this monent in time I carnt drive for six weeks, I just had my hip replaced for the third time
Its been a while since we last spoke, Hoping every thing is fine with you
I managed to get 3/32 rod after all this time, and Bob Adams did dog bones and tunning pegs
Its is strange all the pedals and leavers are working perfectuly
Thank care Paul
