I really don't know what to call this, JD has a Shemmons so I suppose mine could be a ZBud. Anyway I bought this on Ebay a while ago and it has taken time to rebuild it. It had been unused for some considerable time as parts were seized. I decided to strip it completely and start from scratch. I bought it without a case and was going to build a case for it and having bought the ply to do it due to certain technical faults it never got done.In other words I cocked up and couldn't afford to buy more wood. So, the guitar has a Sho-Bud changer in great condition, virtually no wear at all, as you can see the top half is ZB, I have put a new Bud fretboard on and a complete new set of machine heads. When I bought it it only had 2 knee levers but only one was fixed. I have replaced all the cross shafts and bell cranks complete with nylon bushes. It is now standard Emmons setup, knee levers being LLK E-F, LRK E-Eb RLK 1+7 F#-G and RRK Eb-D. I also replaced the single coil pickup with a George L E-66. As there is no case I am asking £950 for it. JD has an aluminium case that should do the job but I can't afford it. I am putting a sound clip here to give you an idea of what it sounds like but I don't play Emmons setup so it ain't brilliant.

Dave, some parts may be modeled on the ZB top end but Dave Nixon made at least three of these and I think both the others were left handed, but the timber is the best bit of maple you could ever see and his inlays were beautiful, I played that very guitar about 30 years ago and loved it then, that is a very reasonable price for that guitar.....

Thanks John, I very much appreciate your comment. When it comes to valuation you know your stuff.
