Black Mullen D-10 (8+5) Peavey Vegas and Goodrich VP.

Postby Tony Russell Davis » Fri Dec 02, 2016 3:25 pm

I've decided to put my Mullen D-10 (8+5) up for sale as I have got used to using 11strings.
It's a black Herbie Wallace model (HWP); which is essentially a pre-RP with a switch-in/out tone control and different p/up on the C6th neck.
E9th is Emmons set-up (3 +4 with both E's on the left knee).
The C6th has the standard 5 pedals and three kneelevers. RKR raises and RKL lowers the third string (C) a half tone (+C# and -B). The third is CKL (central) and raises the A (4th string) to Bb. But, of course, the co-pedent can be altered as desired.
Included is a Goodrich pot VP and a Peavey Vegas. I also have some parts to add kneelever(s).
£1900 for everything; come and try it first with no obligation.
Pick up in person preferred, or transport can be negotiated.
PM with any questions.

Tony, that is one hell of a deal but be prepared or the idiot that will no doubt tell you it's only worth £500. It happens. Anyone with any sense will snatch it for that price. Good luck mate.

Tony - the guitar alone is worth more than you are asking for the package. Don't accept stupid offers from anyone. hold out for the true value of the guitar.

Thanks Ken, and pals generally. I'm happy with that deal because it covers my outlay, and hope it can set someone up; maybe even for life

I understand what you are saying Tony. I have a feeling that you won't be owning that kit much longer at that price. I genuinely hope that you don't get any stupid offers for that lovely rig but I fear that you might.

It makes you wonder what the hell is going on here, I thought I was offering a good deal having lowered my price by £200 then Tony comes up with this offer which is absolutely unbelievable. Ok we all know money is tight but c'mon, this is the bargain of the century. I am constantly being told that country music is on the UP so if that is true why are steel guitar sales not on the UP. Go on tell me "It ain't country anymore." Well Tony I wish you luck, please don't do what I have done and drop your price. I have got myself in a bit of a mess and need to sell my guitar but there is no way I am giving it away. I'll do 10 years hard labour first. Stick with it Tony, Oh, and if anyone knows Lapsteeler maybe you could ask him to contact me. Cheers Dave/.

I agree with all the above, it is a very good deal and someone will be very happy with it but, it is not easy to come up with nearly 2 G's just before Christmas.... wish I could! and the other thing is there are about 30 E9th players out there for every one that plays the back neck so there is another limiting factor but, never the less a great deal and a great guitar.
