[SOLD] Stage One S-10

Postby Moe Fun » Thu Sep 01, 2011 5:29 pm

Up for sale is a Stage One S-10, made in Sept 2010. Most of you will know that the Stage One is just about the nicest steel in it's price range, hand made one at a time in USA and licesnsed by ZUM steel.
This one is Teak Mica finish, 3+4, in excellent condition, never gigged home, use only. The copedent is same as in their website, except that I had Doug at Stage One set the 'G' lever (RKL) to have a full tone raise on the first string, from F# to G#, a very useful pull. All UK taxes and shipping has been paid. contact me for more photos or any questions.
£700- buyer to collect please, if shipped you'll need to pay shipping costs on top. THANKS.

for more info go to Stage Ones site: http://www.stageonesteelguitars.com/home
and don't take my word for it, see what players in USA have to say. try a search on Stage One-

here's a great deal !
should'nt last too long either
tonewheelkev, that's just the kind of model i posted on your Maverick thread
go for it before someone scarfs it up
a new one from the good Ol' will cost you 30 % more
& you'll probably have to wait till Doug can build you one
i know i've been through the mill - twice

Believe me tonewheelkev, the only similarity between the stage one and the maverick is the fact that they both stand on four legs, the stage one is good enough to go out and gig on, it is a modern steel, where as the maverick is archaic, and ive said it before, there is a reason why mavericks are brown, [sorry maverick owners, but its true] 700 quid is a very fair price imho ;)

...You are right James....but these things never seem to come up when you've got cash
....more often when you too have 'stuff to sell'....

Looks like a nice instrument. Would be interesting to see more photos of the guitar and ask more of it but it seems that it is not possible for me to send messages to other users yet as I am a new member here.
Moe fun, can you send me a message, maybe It's possible to reply to that with my questions?

Hello friends- I've had a few enquires asking for more photos, here are a few more. All hardware- rods, cranks, endplate, bells and whistles are clean enough to eat off of. any marks or blurs in the photos are due to my camera or lack of photographic skills. Any more details about the Stage One can be found on their website which is posted above. Thanks for looking! :D

Hello- I've been asked a few times: "well what's the Stage One like?"
Many players over here aren't familar with the Stage One pedal steel, but over in USA they are of course more common and gaining quite a good reputation.

Here's a few postings from the USA forum for anyone interested:

I have a Stage One which I bought new from Doug Earnest earlier this year. It's my first pedal steel guitar so I have no point of comparison, but it sounds great to me, is easy to play, stays in tune and is reasonably light to carry to gigs. I'm very pleased with it. Now, if only I had the skills to bring out the best of it. Someday, someday …
