NYLON TUNING NUTS

I NEED SOME NYLON TUNING NUTS FOR MY RAINS GUITAR .
BUT THE NEW ONES IVE BOUGHT HAVE A SMALLER DIAMETER HOLE AND
ARE A VERY TIGHT FIT . AM I SUPPOSED TO RE BORE THEM OR HOW DO I REMEDY THIS ?
APPRECIATE ANY HELP.

Tight is good Derek, the reason your changing is cos yours are too loose or slipping ... I take and old bit of 2.6 rod or 3mm that has some thread on it ...put it in your vice and wind the nut on a little way... not to the point where you end up with a loose fit but enough to cut some thread in your new nut.... use your judgement......

Hi Derek, if you get stuck I can help with this one; I have some threaded rods that can be used on your nuts :oops: maybe even by post. If you have a vernier or micrometer it's worth measuring the pullrod diameter; some of the guitars use thinner rods and I think Rains might be one of these (or was it Tom's Fessenden?).
