I'm selling my Peavey Vegas 400 Combo as I have restored my Fender Super Twin Combo which is now my go to amp. I bought this last year and have restored it to almost new condition, including replacing a broken reverb pot, deep cleaned the cabinet, cleaned all contacts on jacks, cleaned all pots and replaced the power supply capacitors. I have also put in place the enhanced modifications as recommended by Peavey, the cost of this kit when first introduced I believe was in the region of $60, I sourced all the components separately and installed them according to the Peavey guide, I'm a qualified electronics engineer/tech so was not a Heath Robinson job ;) . Includes original Black Widow 15" speaker.

Channel 1 features active tone controls inc. mid variable frequency parametric eq. Channel 2 has identical tone controls but is a passive circuit.

I'm looking for £180 + £20 next day fully insured postage to anywhere in mainland UK.

I also have a Dr J delay pedal for sale. It's a Nice delay pedal with controls for - Delay Time, Delay Depth, Delay Level, Modulation On/Off, Modulation Speed, Modulation Depth.

I have recently upgraded to another delay pedal so selling this one. Comes complete in original box. Only used in house, never gigged.

Looking for £40 + £5 postage

B1 4-6-0 No. 61103 passing Kilconquhar station in 1965. That's Kin-yuch-har for those not wanting to sound like tourists...

Hi Basil, just checked and they are not Burr Brown they are JRC (Japanese Radio Company). Consulting my sieve type memory, I remember that the Burr Brown versions were difficult to get a hold of in the required quantity at the time so I sourced the JRC's from mouser. I didn't want to go down the chinese route as the quality control is lacking.

I did notice the difference in tone post mod, which was silkier/smoother than the original 4558 op amps to my ears. I know that Burr Brown produce high quality, military spec. components, I had a tour of their semiconductor plant in Livingston in the 1980's, if only I'd known then I could have picked up a supply ;)

Geoff
I think Calum is trying to let you know you're going off the rails since your return from " outer " space!
Glad to see you have returned to the " day job " by servicing this amp 8-).
I pity the postie delivering that lot  , especially if the delivery address is at the top of a hill  ,phew!

P. S.
Have I posted this on the wrong forum ? choo, choo

I'd quite like that, but I need a new back first. I can barely lift my bar at the moment, and can sit at the steel for no more that 20 minutes before nurse has to come and apply vodka...

I know where you're coming from Nick, it's a heavy beast, I too have a bad back so I must be mad as the Fender Super Twin I'm now using must be a contender for the heaviest combo ever produced

I'm thinking about putting together a lighter rig for going out and using the Fender in the house for recording.

The Dr J pedal has been sold elsewhere, so is no longer for sale.
