Mavericks are extremely limited guitars, you are indeed right there are a lot better student guitars out there.This Bennett is not a student model , it is a full pro model in every aspect from build quality to finish to tone.I took this along to the recent Scottish steelie's night and it pretty much stood up well against the other makes there.The reason I am posting here is because Sandy is not on computer and am just helping him out.As John points out the Maverick mentioned is way overpriced.
