Hi Andy, if you want it, I can have it picked up from Slim and delivered to you for no more than 15 quid, it comes in a very good solid case.

Sounds good to me John. If Paypal gift is OK, PM me with your email address and I'll give you the delivery address.

Do you know the scale length? (and is a special bar recommended for an 8 string?)

No problem John, happy to do bank transfer & I'll gratefully accept the advice/offer of bar that will get me going. It makes sense that I'll probably need to try a few different ones to see which I get on with best. If you PM me your bank details, I'll transfer payment tomorrow.

Scale length is, 23 1/4 Andy. I used a 10 string steel on it but i'm used to that size bar.

John, if Andy doesn't take the schubb type bar I'll take it. Thanks, Donny.

Donny, if Andy does want the Shubb bar then give me a shout - I have a Shubb SP-1 bar if you need one.

I've been gigging with my Framus 8 string for 5 or 6 years and it's served me very well. Not the best constructed plank ever but I love the blue flock and the sound of the pickup. Covers all my hank and western needs (which are modest). These days I put it on my LDG pad for those songs but I used to just rest the lap steel right on the strings of my S10. No scratches or moving around due to the flocking. My bridge is a little different looking – it has tuning levers so I can run two different tunings, A6 and C6, and flip between them (the mechanism isn't reliable or ergonomic enough to do in-song bends or anything). Cool guitar. Andy let me know if you ever want to sell it, I might want a spare!

Your model is the 14070 Hawaii 800
