Hi guys,
I’ve got a pair of WM BL705s (reissues) here. They’re relatively new, but I thought they were noisy/ hummy in my guitar so I’ve taken them out. Perhaps the guy I had put them in (a normal guitar tech as opposed to steel) wired them incorrectly or something, because they measure fine with a multimeter and they were practically brand new. From memory one measures about 20.6 ohms, and the other 20.2.
However, BEWARE THEY MAY ALSO BE FAULTY. I do think this is unlikely though - the odds of getting two faulty pickups are quite slim. I got a nice sound out of them, but they had a single coil-like hum as the note was losing sustain. They also hummed a bit too much when I touched them.
Anyway, if you cover postage costs and make a small contribution to the forum, you can have them.
PS, they also have some narrower holes drilled out of the base plate. The standard holes didn’t work for my guitar, so I made some more. Doesn’t affect the function of them obviously.
