Here's a chance to make those iconic pedal steel sounds without the expense (and weight!) of a full pedal steel guitar.
This is the increasingly hard-to-get Recording King lap-steel, 23"scale, solid mahogany body, string-thru-body design for excellent tone, sealed tuners, P90 pick-up with tone and volume controls, pearloid fretboard, felt underside, screw-in legs (easily removed, can be played lap or console style). Tuned to E6th and in very good condition.
What sets this guitar apart from other lap-steels are the two custom-built palm levers, one raises the G# to A, the other raises the B to C#....thus replicating the basic A and B pedals on a PSG.
Both 'palm pedals' have high and low stop screws for fine tuning, although rarely used as the set-up is very stable and reliable.
With a little practice, it's easy to make those best-known pedal steel sounds.
