My Latest Acquisition Fender Special

Postby JohnDavisStringsHere » Wed Jun 10, 2020 6:49 pm

This one is under offer at the moment but I thought I would show it off any way as it is a bit special, This is no standard Fender student model though to look at it you would think it was but I believe it was crafted and transformed by the late James Moorhead in the USA . It is a "Pull release" that actually works and the attention to detail underneath is a credit to the builder. It has an adjustable leg probably before GFI thought of it as you really only need the one to adjust
but this one does it at the top of the leg. I believe this guitar is unique I have never seen one like it before and I think Fender should have copied this idea and built a shed load of them, the whole thing inc the case weigh in at next to nothing and I reckon it would fit in the overhead locker on most planes...

That was lovely playing John....I enjoyed that.
If only I could play half as good as that I would be very happy.

Regards,
Baz.

Hi Baz thanks for the comment, I find an old standard with a nice chord progression is the best way to keep my playing fluid, there might be only 4 or 5 chords in it but you can find those chords in so many different positions on the steel so play it for half an hour using different inversions of the same chord trying not to repeat yourself then when you finish that, study it again and I bet you can find another way to play it.....see how you progress...:)
