SX Squareneck Resonator with Multibender

Postby tony boadle » Mon Dec 17, 2018 4:34 pm

I'm selling my SX reso, the ideal Bluegrass/Country cross-over guitar.
The SX squareneck acoustic resonator guitar, spun cone, semi-flatwound nickel strings, sealed tuners, passive pick-up. Excellent tone and volume, and the iconic 'Dobro' sound. Super condition, a great looking guitar, increasingly hard to find.
What makes this instrument extra-special is the retro-fitted Deusenberg 'Dobrola' Multibender. This precision-built bridge replacement features two adjustable levers, enabling the raising of any two strings by one or two flats.
The SX is currently strung and tuned to E6th, a popular lap-steel tuning. The two levers, easily operated by the palm of the picking hand, are set to raise and return the top G# and B strings, (G#to A, B to C#) enabling the player to mimic pedal-steel sounds, it really has to heard to be believed.
There are various demos on YouTube showing the Multibender in action, and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
I'd prefer to sell this as one unit, but would consider selling the SX and Multibender separately. (SX 250 euro, Multibender 150 euro)
