Peavey Vegas 400 Combo

Postby firstchapterman » Sun Nov 17, 2013 3:21 pm

For sale, Peavey Vegas 400 - two channel combo amplifier.

This is a great sounding amp which I bought new in the mid 1980's. It has two independent channels, one for Steel Guitar (with Paramid shift) and one
intended for Guitar with a mid shift control. Power output is 210 watts.

The Speaker is a 15" Black Widow which I had re-built earlier this year by Stan Lawrence at Surrey Amps as the foam packing in the
Voice coil had perished and was causing distortion. Sounds fine now.

It also features a set of Ernie Ball plug in castors and a new soft cover made by amplifiercoversonline.com

The amp does have some gigging 'scars' but is overall in pretty good condition. It is, however, very heavy which is
one reason why I'm selling it. Also, due to the weight it will have to be picked up from Mitcham, Surrey.

I'm asking £75 ono to mainly cover the cost of the speaker re-build and new cover.

Cheers guys, thanks for looking.

The amp is still for sale - it's too far away for me. But let me say the Vegas is a great steel amp where you need a second channel for guitar, mando, acoustic etc. I've had two over the years (still using one) and would have had this one as a second Vegas for stereo.
