With much reluctance I've decided to sell my Carter Universal 12 Pedal Steel Guitar. Since I bought my MSA Legend U12 it's never been out the case and it's better someone gets the use of this fine steel.
This Pedal Steel has 7 pedals and 5 knee levers and is fitted with a Wallace True Tone pickup.
The copedent can be found at the following link, along with lots of other useful information regarding Carter Pedal Steels,
https://www.steelguitar.com/sampleS12Tuning.htmlIt will be sold with the original carpet case, a matching colour arm rest I made for it and a brand new DF2 leg and rods bag. The guitar is fitted with gauged rollers I had made over the pond which make the surface of the strings more even, the original rollers will also be included. I've replaced the nylon tuning pegs which are now all uniform length, I'll put on a new set of strings and tune all pedals and knees before shipping. I have some spare T bone rod connectors which I'll include in the sale.
The guitar is in good shape for a 20 year old instrument, I believe it was made in 1998. There is a chip in the formica on the top at the back of the guitar, I've repaired this using formica repair paste, it's not perfect but with the arm rest on it's never seen. I have included photos of this.
You can see and hear it being played on my Youtube channel, here are a couple of videos,
The 2nd video shows some use of the B6 mode in the 2nd verse.
I'm looking for offers around £1500, would prefer the guitar is picked up but realise this may not be practical as I live in Scotland. I am willing to ship but only with full insurance cover, so the cost will be quite high, but I'm prepared to share the shipping cost to some extent. Shipping costs can be arranged by PM as part of the sale.
