If the pedals and levers look a bit daunting to a newby i would suggest removing the two outter strings and use it
As a 10 string 3 plus 4..... you can then grow into it at your own pace, either way its a lot of guitar for the money.

Hiya John,
Just wanted to know a little bit more about this, and really want to get into pedal steels.
I don’t know what keyless means and I’m guessing universal and extended E9th is to do with tuning but if you could explain these would be very helpful.
