ZB custom S10 in Arbroath

Just seen this ZB Custom 3x4 in Abbey Music, Arbroath.
They want £500.
It needs work but for someone starting out it’s a bargain.
Please note I am not selling this guitar it is in a music shop you will need to contact the music shop if you wish to purchase to Guitar.

that is not a Pro guitar it is a student model I reckon...

That is a ZB Student guitar. When I was an agent for ZB guitars in the early 70's, one of the best pedal steels for tone that I have ever played on was a black plastic covered ZB Student. It was part of a a batch of 3 student model guitars that Eric Snowball sent down to me one time. The tone was incredible, and I often wish that I had bought it myself, and stuck 3 additional levers on it. That way I would have had a lightweight guitar for flights and gigs with stairs.

£500 isn't a bad price for a 3 + 4 guitar. Just a shame that someone found it necessary to remove the plastic finish and painted the cabinet with a tar brush. There are companies around in the UK who have plastic former machines and would recover that guitar for not a lot of money if the old rubbish paint finish was removed first.

Hello,

I'm the proud owner of this ZB Custom (thanks to M.Davis) and yes it is in France now.
It's my first pedal steel guitar (after several years of searching) and i will probably keep it for the rest of my life.
Can't compare it to any other PSG but to me it's really an incredible instrument.
Thank you again John, you're my hero!
