Hi Derek, I just have an old camcorder it has its own mic and my amp speaker is less than 3 foot from it but not pointed at it just press the video import button and Bobs your Uncle...

I bought one that looked just like that, black the same colour, from the governor in another life about 45 years ago. Mine was just a " student" model. I believe it was epoxy body!! Not sure, but it was pretty good.

This guitar is all maple, just decided to bring it up to date a tad, it was in fact a C6th one lever job when I got it. It plays and sounds well but is not professing to be a modern mechanics steel.... nor however is it £2.5- 3k. As John says a great place to start.
