Early 1950s Fender stringmaster custom

Mon Jul 20, 2020 10:45 am

Up for sale is my stringmaster custom three neck steel console, the guitar is in great condition for its age I'm guessing it's around 1950-51 I've not taken off the tuning pans so don't know the exact year the serial number reads 0793,the steel sounds fantastic as you would expect from fender.
The overall condition is excellent with the only a small bit of paintwork flaking around the underside around the front leg hole as you can see from the photos.
One tuning peg on the upper neck has slight play in it but it still tunes with no problems. The steel comes with its three original adjustable legs only downside to the steel is It doesn't have a case, I'm looking for a price of around £2,200 or make me an offer, if your interested or need more photos just ask I'm based in Essex I could ship the guitar but due the the weight i think it would be quite expensive please feel free to ask any question regarding the guitar, shipping, or price thanks

Sorry to contradict, but I think these are actually called "Deluxe 8", in this case a triple neck. "Stringmaster" - had a different spec. with two pickups per neck, four legs and dated from 1953 - 1980).

Dave - as it sold through the forum, please consider donating towards the forum running costs if you haven't already done so.

On the asking price here, a combination of eBay / Paypal fees would be roughly £284 :o . There's never been a charge for advertising sales through the forum, but any donations from successful sales are always appreciated.
