Sorry not to see you there Bob, was a lively night! A good turnout and a surprise appearance from Derek Thurlby who grappled with Willie's Mullen, (they did spend a lot of time in that cupboard :? ) and despite the E's being on the wrong leg put in a really nice performance. Dougie gave us his usual class act on the dobro and lap :guitar:

Most of the night though was spent with Danny recording those he missed last month and a few additional tunes from the guys from last month. Danny's introductions before each track was recorded were hilarious, he was using a text to speech converter, personally I couldnae get started for laughing. Hope you include these in the final mixes Danny

Just like to say a big thanks to Danny for the time and effort he's put into doing this, I know you love doing this sort of thing Danny but I for one really appreciate it and am looking forward to hearing the results.

As there was a lot of time spent setting up, it gave everyone a chance to engage in conversation and it was a very sociable evening with a lot of knowledge being exchanged, a lot of good banter was also forthcoming.

Everyone was interested in Calums new co-pedent and he put it to good use in his recording which I thought was excellent and a real improvement in his playing was evident for all to hear.

For me it was the first time using my "new" Peavey Vegas at volume and I was really pleased with the sound and tone I was getting, the 15" speaker really makes a big difference, especially on the low end.

So, another great night at Gartcosh, looking forward to next month :D

Yes indeed Geoff, a most enjoyable night :guitar:
It's a real pleasure to hear everyone developing, in tone and technique. Except, of course, for the likes of Willie, Donny, Dougie etc., it's a pleasure just to hear them play. Yes, it was a pity Bob couldn't make it but we all appreciate your circumstance Bob, you're tasty manoeuvres were sadly missed, (if you fancy doing a 'homer' and sending it to me, I'll whack it on the CD?)
Calum's copedent is outstandingly well thought out, and sounded excellent in action. That fourth pedal setup shall be henceforth known as 'The Haddock". Your own 'Beast' was sounding extremely big through that Vegas, Geoff, and I also liked John's new amp, too. It really brought his tone out and gave a clearer attack, I thought.
It was also a nice surprise to have Derek pop in and visit, what a tasty player he is :guitar:
The biggest surprise though was finding out that Davie Withers has his sonsie coupon on the new £5 note  Classic.

Now that we've got the disruption of the recording malarkey out of the way, we can get back to normal. I don't know if anything was decided, tune wise, for next month?? I had to charge off and deliver food parcels to the 'needy', aka my youngest!

I should have the CDs ready for all involved by next month. Sadly the recording of the 'atmospherics' didn't pan out, perhaps just as well, I would've had to put Parental Advisory stickers on them

Thanks gents, for another entertaining night :guitar:

There is definitely something fishy about those changes right enuff Danny, although I think Calum cod do batter given thyme. Any fin is possible off course, some may say that it's a lot of pollocks, but the new pedal certainly has sole. Even Willie was thinking of using the changes on his Mullet. Although he does carp on about it, I've been herring that he's krilling the bass response with the new scales, no squidding

(I'll get me coat) :?

Knowledge, Danny's Banter, Copedent Innovation, 'The Haddock' wow , The King of our Waters.
Davie Withers on a fiver! Me and gently come to mind! And Derek there to boot , now I'm seriously pissed off!

As for you Lord Donald! ...BA.. missed..who's he?.....You can stick your palm pedals right up your soft close Mr!

The Gamble however, is scheduled for a visit to Merlin's Cauldron tomorrow to expand on Dougie's Ensemble. Assuming a successful survey my legal team will be consulted to risk manage any alterations to this Morrell. ... All work to be carried out strictly pro-forma!

Danny...' Homer no prob' as long as it sounds in sync with the other guys recordings! We'll talk on email.

So sorry I couldn't be there! .....Out-with my control!

Seems I missed a good one! :(
