It was good to get back amongst The Brethren last night. Most enjoyable, thanks chaps.
Bob's WBS sounded great through his Webb. And John's made some job of 'pimping' his ride! Looks classy. Great tunes played and even more to look forward to.
Special thanks to Willie G for tweaking my Cube settings.....what! No reverb???? Whodathunkit.

Yes, I really enjoyed it last night too Danny. Went home hungry to play more steel :guitar:

Tonight I'm going to practice the run Willie showed us last night, so next month hopefully I'll be able to finish every song with that run

In fact I suggested to Willie last night that once I've perfected it, he could stick a harmony run over the top of it. So that's something for everybody to look forward to 8-)

Firstly read carefully: This Official Press Statement:

'The Scottish Office of Steel Guitar' deeply apologies for any feeling of exclusion that may be experienced by a forum member in any compass bearing outwith the Scottish Borders! The language and content used in this report contains no flash and is intended simply for the encouragement and common good of all PSG users regardless of location!!

SSGW Feb 16
Yip, 'big result fae sma bulk' last night, what we lacked in number we made up for in content, Danny I don't know how many 'flying hours' you now have on that GFI but you had us on the edge of our pack-a-seats, cushions and deck chairs! Your tone was on the money and your playing was 'a big'- 'four cherries.' I thought you were never going to stop paying out!.. Impressed! Oh Yes,...

Yeah! ...John has indeed done a great job on his rig and his Hilton is much improving his pedal control, Geoff I'm sure your electronic ensemble will reduce when you get your new Legend at Dallas next month, I have a notion that 'less will be more' ... Otherwise you will have to pay your Sherpa at least the NMW to cart all the toot in every visit! As for Mr Withers what a smashing bloke, I do enjoy hearing that LDG. he has such a wealth of country in him and he's a Hagg man 'that'll do for me!

As for the 'DJ'.. 'The Gambler' ....and 'Me'! ...... We are just auld farts there for the LUV and passing on the licks!........ But strictly no kisses!

So where were messrs; Holland, Totten, Conway, Hogg, Davidson, McKillop, McAlistair, Gorrie, Dougie was excused on a sick note!

And Reg.... You gave us Mexicali-whats-it and weren't even there to hear it! I reckon we may all have to play it again!!! ..Sodya!

After a heads together! Content for March and April is looking seriously Good!

'The Scottish Office of Steel Guitar'

Sounds like the title of the next album. I'll need to practice more to keep up with Danny. The 1st Minister.

Yes indeed it was a great night, Danny is coming on a storm and I think my humble tweeking of his amp will spur him on greatly.
As for Donny (two go's) Johnston, what can one say
As I stated on Tuesday night, it is amazing how the same tune can be approached from so many different angles.
When Geoff asked me to show him my wee Hal Rugg lick, I thought, imagine anyone wanting to learn something from me, I was very humbled, thanks Geoff, you have made a happy man very old
Mr Craig has made a splendid job of his Mullen look a like
Thanks again lads for your friendship, it is indeed very much appreciated

And, you're bang on Willie. It's truly amazing the different approaches to the tunes. Vive La Difference!

As for the 1st minister patter!! Away an' bile yer heids! It's mair like the 1st spinister, coz am no' gettin' it at a'.
