If there are no other suggestions how about, either, Window Up Above, or Funny How Time Slips Away, for tune two?

Good shambolic fun at last night's meet, thanks guys. Tony's Combo was rockin', I'd like to catch them at full pelt. And who would've thunk it.....'The Muckin' O Geordies Byre' on....dobro?? Hats off to Dougie!

Enjoyed last night, Tony can really rock that bass, good voice too. Great sound Dougie was getting on his non-pedal steel, he must have an extra long bar to get some of these slants he was playing.

Looking forward to this one now

Yet another great night with the Brethren of the bar, some great playing, and hey was it not great to see Tim back in our midst after his Paternity leave, lovely to see you again ma boy.

It never ceases to amaze me how helpful and generous of time and talent everybody is, in fact I was talking to Geoff Noble last night about this very subject, and he agreed completely that there are no primadonas in our midst.

And as for Dougie, he claims "I've never heard the song before " then nails it without pedals it would fairly sicken yer happiness.

All I can say gentlemen is, once again I thank you very much for your fellowship, I value that more than you could ever know.

So, until we meet again and the case she is sol ved

There may be no primadonas Willie but there are some fine players who are willing to share their knowledge and experience and I for one am grateful and appreciate it. That's 3 meetings I've been to and it's really helped to improve my playing just watching how you guys go about your business

Hey, and it's a good crack too

I brought my Weissenborn along last night to let Dougie have a go on it, man it was great to see how it really should be played, what a great tone he got from it. It was good chatting to Tim re his Universal and comparing setups and the challenge of going from 10 to 12 strings. At one point Tim summed it up - It's only an extra 2 strings but at first it seemed like there were 20 strings instead of 10.

Some great playing last night, as usual, I was a bit tired as I had taken my Dad through to Glasgow Airport before I arrived, he's off to Canada! An hour to get through Glasgow

I'm off to sunny Majorca so won't be at the next one, see you in 2 months and have a great time at the Irish Steel Festival

Certainly a good night, next one is August 25th. Please remember Mini amps,headphones AND BATTERIES. No new tunes, pick 2 from the tunes you have already. Try and come up with something you found out for yourself, we'll all be interested to hear. Donny.

Ah the posh bit Willie, nice place, took a stroll around there last year. We're staying in an old converted farmhouse near Fellantix, it's pretty rural but nice and peaceful. How long are you going for?
