There is nothing going on! Gigs are thin on the ground! Even the forum is struggling to find a pulse!! something must be done!!
On account of all the above, I am considering a "get together" at Duloe village hall Where my previous meetings started out.
This would not be a full blown meeting as I have held at Barford THERE WILL BE NO PA OR BAND just an amp to play some tracks through and a free exchange of the limited knowledge that we have....... now,

Is anybody interested??? I need to know that at least five of you are coming and prepared to pay £5 towards the cost of hall/heat etc.
There will be NO HOT FOOD OR TEA BRING A FLASK AND A SANDWICH AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME....

At this time I am looking at the 14th December (Sunday) as a poss. date but not yet checked to see if hall available..

Before I go any further with this, lets see some interest please????????????????????????????????????????????

JD, I couldn't agree with you more. I even wondering if we need this forum anymore. Very few of us use it to contribute threads etc. I not even sure if many donate cash to keep the site running. As for all our meetings very very few attend. Certain forum members only use the site to flog gear without donating anything to the kitty (there are the guys that do every time they flog gear) and we thank them.
We that run the forum and the society and the meetings do it for the love of the steel guitar but we cannot continue these things without more punters attending and paying to keep everything in the black.
Well that's my rant for the day but we need to think about this.
 getting slightly pissed off lately.

Thanks for the offer JD. I know it's a million miles, but I would like to make the effort to try and learn a bit more.

Regards, H.

David is there a Sunday that you are available?, I would prefer to look at a Sunday as the roads are quieter and most people less likely to be working, also I would hope to start at 10am and pack up at about 8pm to give all a chance to get home at a reasonable time.
Harry, was that a yes ? twood be nice to see you :)

Uncle Roy, Nice rant :)

What about the rest of you that have looked at my post??? could we have more comment please????

Hi John.
I only have 21st free in December and can't be 100% sure I can be there.
You know I will try if I can. It might be a Cambridge Christmas shopping day.
What about that old C6th player in Beccles? He needs some practice.
Perhaps he will see this and reply..

I think I'm working that day JD. I've been toying with the idea of something similar in Essex.

What is apathy?

Who think John is getting grumpy?

Perhaps everyone is practicing and too busy to contribute to the forum?

Or perhaps hanging up their picks?

Not sure the 'apathy' approach is the best way to encourage participation.

John, December 14 won't work for me either, gigging up the smoke that afternoon.
