I have just spent two day,s at my first NESGF at Thornton Wattlass ,and they were two days i won,t forget.I met some new friends and there wives,and saw pedalsteel ,and lap steel playing of the highest order,also learned a lot about the steel guitar its,self .Looking foreward to the next one. Hey - we need to write something as a "report of the proceedings" . If anyone else has pictures (I have some from Keith - thanks) , videos or can write about part of the weekend (even tell about your bit - what you played etc. just who played at what time would help - I can't remember it all ) and will send the stuff to me I'll pull it together and make a story for the forum and newsletter. Please do it!

Hi Donny thank,s for that ,and i really appreciated your help about my playing .Also i got a great confidence booster off Tony Russel Davies , he said some really nice things to me.Overall i dont think iv,e ever spent such a great time with so many nice people and their wives . all the different styles was amazing ,but basil was something else. He is so clever as a musician, and his knowledge of music is outstanding . Next year i hope to be a better player, and see every one again.Regards Derek
