SSGW TUESDAY 25TH FEBRUARY

Postby Donny Johnston » Wed Jan 29, 2014 6:17 pm

A GOOD NIGHT HAD BY ONE AND ALL, BUT WE'RE MOVING ON NOW.
FIRST TUNE UP IS " I LOVE YOU BECAUSE " SWING STYLE. MALCOLM, I CAN'T REMEMBER THE KEY.
NEED ANOTHER TUNE, ANY SUGGESTIONS.
THE NEWBIES NEED TO PRACTICE THE TABLETURE HANDED OUT, AND I WILL MAKE THE EFFORT TO COMLETE THE VERSE FOR THE NEXT MEETING, SO BY MARCH THE TUNE CAN BE PLAYED THROUGH TWICE BY EACH PLAYER. PLEASE, IF YOU READ THIS LET ME KNOW, I NEED TO KNOW SOMEONE ELSE IS OUT THERE, THANKS, DONNY.

Donny, key for I love you because ( or ewe if you are a highland shepherd ) is C.I know this will upset old Gorrie.Good night , despite two of the more elderly members not turning up, noticed an improvement in some of the newbies,so format must be working, and I should add,me going down hill, felt as if I had not sat a steel before, but suppose you get nights like that, promise to practice for next month.

Hello guys.

First, the answer is NAW ~ ah'm no in the huff wi' anybuddy! . . . I'm far too insensitive to go in a huff!

I know I've missed a few meets now. A holiday, then a broken bone in my foot took care of the September and October meets, then by the time November arrived I had lost the impetus to try to make musical sounds come out of my steel. Apart from the steel I have other peripheral interests that were also laid aside as I seemed to go into a flat spot and a general lack of interest 'underwhelmed' me.
It's doubtful that I'll be at this month's meet but hopefully I'll get kick started soon.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off in search of some motivation . . . . .
