SESGF 2012 is now in advanced planning and is set for Saturday and Sunday 26 & 27 May. Last year when we made the booking these were the dates of the Spring Bank Holiday - the last weekend in May. This year the Spring Bank Holiday has been temporarily moved to the following week to tie in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. However we will not be moved and the 26th and 27th it remains for SESGF 2012.

I'm a bit behind with the website because of personal circumstances but hope to have it up and running by early February. Until then you will not be able to book tickets but, ofcourse, I will be pleased to hear from you if you are planning to come with your guitar. The website address http://www.chanos-isgf.org/SESGF/

Last year several people suggested it would have been a good idea to have had a meal together on the Saturday evening, it would have added to the conviviality. So we are planning to do just that - a meal with wine or beer all for a single price. Details will be published on the SESGF 2012 web.

For your interest I attach a poster:

John

You're right - shouldn't have rushed off the announcement on a Sunday morning.

The festival is slated for the last Saturday and Sunday in May - 26th & 27th.

Unfortunately I can't edit the announcement (the edit facility on this forum only lasts a few hours) but I've corrected the poster.

Thanks.

Digby

Hi Digby.
I am looking forward to this one again.
As you know, I booked my hotel room a year ago at the same place as last time.

The SESGF 2012 website is now up and running. The main change to last year is the additon of a three course dinner option on Saturday evening. Several people requested this last year, so we've decided to offer the dinner which includes beer or wine and of course, a vegetarian option.

David thanks for the support - looking forward to seeing you and Fran again. Don't forget we've also reserved a stand for you in the Hall.

Hi Shaun

Nice to hear from you. I popped over to Calais last week to get in the wine and beer for the dinner.

See you soon.

I always look forward to this event.

The Saturday night meal is a great idea also with a good menu choice.

See you all there.
