I haven't seen this mentioned here as yet, but a friend from Oklahoma informs me that Russ Hicks has been inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, well deserved.

I just saw your post Donny! I don't come to this section very often (I wish there was a subscription feed!).
Yes Russ Hicks was inducted to the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. About time too. So too, was Bobbe Seymour. Richly deserved also and way overdue. I suppose there's an element of politics in this and the odd clash of strong personalities.

Is it right that Russ and Laney are no longer together??? I heard Chubby Howard on his radio show say that they have split up. But good to hear he was "inducted".
