Hi guys, this is the date for our next meeting, it also happens to be our 10th anniversary. so let's try and make it a good one. Some people said it it would never last. We need tunes. Any other suggestions to mark the occasion would be more than welcome. Donny.

Hello folks, just a brief note to let you all know that next month, as LDN so rightly put it, is our 10th anniversary, and to celebrate we are having a campfire night.
bring along any instrument of your choice ( doesn't have to be steel ) and lets have a fantastic night
If anyone wants to bring along some nibbles and drinks ( non alcohol ) feel free, I know I will.
so see you all next month, and as they say "be there, or be a round thing with corners"

Firstly, my apologies for missing this months`meet. I was a bit under the weather with a bug of sorts. I fully hope to be at next months campfire night though. A busy month for Willie and I as we make the final preparations for our trip to the Irish steel guitar festival on the 14th October. I`m sure we will have plenty of stories to tell around said campfire!

Hi there Karol, the club is held at: Gartcosh Community Centre, Lochend Rd, Gartcosh, G69 8A. The next meeting is the 25th of October.Hope to see you there. all people attending pay a £5 towards the cost of the hall. Hello Donny, I'm not a complete beginner, but still have to wear L plates. I'm a guitarist who got the bug.I had a Carter starter to begin with, and now have a GFI expo 10 string E9th, which is a three plus four. I'm using a Peavey Nashville 1x12. I live in Bathgate,West lothian. I don't have transport at the moment, so I am going to have to arrange for a lift to and from Gartcosh. I really need to meet up with other players to benefit and improve as a player. Hopefully see you all soon!

Hi Folks, last night at Gartcosh we held our 10th anniversary of the SSGW, It was a great night, best attendance figures in a long while.
It was heartening to see Billy McKillop there after his brush with the Grim Reaper en route to Dublin
Unfortunately Bob Adams could not attend as he was laid low by his souvenir from Dublin...........Covid
The night kicked off a little later than usual ( approx 8.30) due to some of the lads being held up by the football traffic.
Last night was a "Campfire Night" as we call it, basically a go as you please, bring any instrument you fancy, we had 3 very good singers giving us some songs to put backing steel to, great stuff, and all absolutely free
We stopped for a break at around 9.15 where we had soft drinks and nibbles, and a chance to chat about all things steel.
Me personally, I thought it was splendid night, food, drink, good steel playing and absolutely loads to talk about.
Thanks to all who contributed and to all who attended, well, you all know how I feel
10 years Eh! and they said it would never last, where does all the time go.
Next month is our last meeting of the year lads, so how about some tunes suggestions
Geoff, we all hope you are behaving and doing all that the Doctors, ( and Janice ) tell you. Get well soon my new short ar"*d friend
