Hi Dave, yes it's official, it's on the Irish website, with Russ Hicks as the guest player, brilliant.

Pity it is at same weekend as school holidays, means I won't be able to go again this year.

For the others, Russ Hicks has been one of my favorite players since I started learning steel.
I had the pleasure of seeing him again in Dallas and Fortworth in March.
Russ Hicks, Mike Johnson and a band with 3 fiddles at Pearls Dancehall was an amazing finale to the Dallas steel guitar weekend.

I have always said, this Irish festival is like a mini Dallas, its an hour away from the UK by plane and is a weekend break of steel guitar heaven.

So, try your best to get there, you wont be disappointed.

Ted, or anyone, can you place a link here to the Irish steel guitar site with details of the new venue please.
I have friends who wish to book their rooms in the hotel soon.

Does anyone know if a special rate has been agreed with the hotel for the ISG Festival 2011 as I am looking to book my accommodation ahead of time?
