This idea might be practical - let's see.
Would anybody be up for a get-together in North Yorkshire (about four or five miles west off the A1 from Leeming Bar - between Ripon and Richmond). To ask each other questions, share techniques, or just play, talk steel guitar etc. etc., - might even be able to provide some backing. I can get a moderate size room in my local country pub with a couple or so amps available. For any sort of steel guitar. A weekend afternoon might be best? Tony.
