An account of the meeting from a misunderstood correspondent
Seven turned up at the meeting and we had an enjoyable evening, Bill White did not count as he was just passing through, Donny's sick line was mentioned, but a note from his mother would have been better.
One sailor was reported to be stuck up cripple creek with a banjo and a missing paddle,
the rest were just classed as a " no show" despite any apologies for non attendance.
The boogie woogie bugle boy from Hillington was missed again, but a report from Davie writing for the Boshopton Observer contained the following text
" Bob showed great prowess learning songs on the spot, and Willie excelled as usual. Cant believe how far our "beginners" have come on....well done all!! "
I think clarification of the punctuation of this line, should be made by the writer of that rag as it could be misread!
Danny it's a wonder you did not get your windows put in by the blast and the sound waves from Davie's " new rig ".
He gave a practical demonstration of his building work on " The Lighthouse " designed by Mr Garry Carter, it left most of us blinking in disbelief at his playing.

Put me at the top of the malcontent list as I turned up with an extension speaker on my set up to give me a 50 watts output from my Vox MV 50. This resulted in a loss of the good " sound" I had previously achieved, the later discovery that my digital delay pedal was not switched on, only complicated matters!
John Craig had recorded a nice version of "Afraid" and some time was spent learning this tune as it appealed to everyone present, the person writing this post has proposed it as a tune for the March meeting and I do believe his Ludship is busy making a backing track.
The usual disclaimer of " it wisnae me " applies to this post!
