It was a quieter night than usual last night, but it was fantastic to see Bob back again, he has been away too long.
I thought our newby Alan did very well last night, he has got to grips with the grips very well

Asleep at the steel

I agree with Willie, it was a much quieter night than usual but still most enjoyable, Robert has gone back onto pedal steel with as yet no pedals, last night he played a 10 string E9th Springfield, only having it for 3/4 days he did very well. He is intending to put the pedals back on eventually.. See you all next month. LDN

Whilst there was not quantity, there was quality and much shared, good work on that opening medley Donny, sometimes these kind of nights produce some gems and last night was no exception! Thanks Willie, whilst I greatly miss the 'old guy' it is nice to be able to make the meetings on a more regular basis without major hassle! As you say Donny, Robert has made a good start on that Springfield, it will be interesting to see how it evolves! Our newcomer Alan looks like he will progress very well, he certainly seemed to soak up all that he was being given by Willie! It will be interesting to see what next month brings!

As for y'all who think you are too knackered and can't be bothered turning up! Trust me!! We are more knackered than you! ..............

Thanks for the mention in despatches lads I agree it was a good meeting, regards my "new guitar" the pedals were on the Springfield but the important bits were not, I am re-inventing the wheel at present in order to rebuild the workings of the rods and levers to my own specs, and that will take time!
Enjoyed the meeting and felt a bit more involved with an E9th tuning in front of me even if it was a static display compared to the multi levered contraptions across the hall, Bob you should have been in my seat to hear your beautiful Emmons guitar that Wullie drools over being played through that Web amp.
Now looking forward to next month but at the moment I think I'll still be "non working pedal", but at least I'll have a chance to figure out E9th a bit more!
