The next meeting of the North East Steelies will take place at the Buck Inn, Thornton Watlass at 12:00pm on Sunday 28th April.
The 3 Round robins for the meeting are : Sentimental Journey (F), You Win Again (E) and I Fall To Pieces (F).
If anyone needs copies of the tracks, please contact me and I'll send them out as BIAB files and WMA files.
Players are also encouraged to bring along any solo tunes that they'd like to play for us. Once again, it's an "Ego Free" Meeting.
Newcomers will be made very welcome at the meeting and any of your friends can also come along. The meeting usually lasts from 12:00 pm until around 4:30 pm, with a break to sample the delicious food prepared on the premises.
Just to remind any newcomer who wishes to attend, the room is made available free of charge by the landlady Vikki.
Hope to see you all there.
Keith.

Just home from a terrific meet-up with the NES guys. Some brilliant stuff, round robin on "set" tunes, busking along with each one's suggestion, some "what do you think of this" tunes, great conversation and Buck Inn burgers (and Yorkshire beer).
Happy tea-time, Tone. :guitar: :guitar: :guitar:

OK folks, I apologise, but the Video quality wasn't up to the standard normally seen on this Forum, so it's a no go this time.
As Tony said, it was another good meeting at the Buck Inn and a big thanks to Vikki and her staff once again.
We had our usual round robin sessions, which were, I Fall To Pieces, You Win Again and Sentimental Journey.
Rod King brought along a replica 7 string Frying Pan that he made some years back. He'd made a batch of around 12 and his is serial number 001, naturally. Rod let us all have a go with the guitar and it is great, with exceptional sustain and a beautiful range of tone.
During the latter part of our meeting Rod and Rosemary treated us to some good old show tunes on the Frying Pan, with Rosemary on Bass.
Our next meeting will hopefully be mid to late June, depending on availability of the FREE room. The actual date will be posted here on the Forum when confirmed.
Thanks to all attendees.
Keith.
