We had a request from one of our audience regulars last week that will send me up to Hugheyland so I set out to find a track to woodshed to for "Linda on my mind" only it turns out it was on one of John's earlier LP's (I have two copies great LP.) and it is not readily available to buy the original track (as yet) so, the karaoke version has "steel" on it and overbearing backing vocal NBG!. Then I discovered Jory Simmons in the good ol USA who does tracks and tab, I said no thanks to the tab but I will try the track, it was on my pc in about 5 minutes and its very basic, the bass part sounds a bit clunky and there is not much else in it BUT! on the plus side the tempo is correct as are the chords to my one remaining ear and it is perfect to woodshed to if you want to get it right. Jory asked me to pass on to you guys the info about his tracks and tab but the PDF files do not seem to paste on here and my pc skill nonexistent. The track I purchased cost 10bucks.....

lets hope the band have done their homework

Hi Mick, it is just a gig I do the 2nd Tuesday of every month (for the last 7 years) and I sometimes get one or two brothers of the bar there but it's too far for you to come, even for me it's 75 miles each way but I do it as they are really good musicians, nice blokes and the material they play is a steel players dream come true.....that's about the size of it....

It's a fantastic gig - it was the first place I met JD, and I liked the music so much I joined the band... But don't let that put you off, it's well worth a trip both for the choice of songs and for the company :)
