Your lordship
As no one has come up with any bright ideas for a toon, how's about
" Mississippi " in the key of C, complete with intro, it's only a suggestion :P but it might " float our boat "
Or we're going to be sunk this month! :guitar: :guitar:

Calum,
If you think that's unsettling, try being first under the " cosh " at the next meeting, or even better having the original
45 rpm vinyl record in your collection
If you want to learn how to improve your bar control, watch the steel break at 2.24 on this video!  :guitar: :guitar:

P. S.
I'll need to try for a " hat like that " to improve my playing  :guitar: :guitar:

Thanks Robert, I’ll try and practice that. :guitar:
Just shows how times have changed. I cant imagine a video producer thinking it would be a really good idea to hand out guns to everyone these days! And there was me thinking the gun culture thing was all about Gansta Rap and hip Hop........

A sound check down in Berkley where you tried a Marshall stack
made neighbours very grateful as they didn't want that back
you didn't make the meeting that we held on Tuesday night
for reasons that were sceptic, as you had to shovel shite
your absence it was noted and your name is in zee book
a letter from your dear old maw wont get you off the hook

Lord Donald was in good form and he really ran the show
now as for Wullie's nonsense, Donny told him where to go
poor Geoff he looked like Cyclops as he entered through the door
as that great big bloody Fender, nearly pinned him to the floor
the sound was awe inspiring you could hear it near and far
but we need an explanation how he got it in the car  :o

A pity that you missed it, and like others I won't name
your curls were sadly lacking, but at least the others came
you couldn't manage Gartcosh, try as hard you might
but gave the stinking reason, that you'd have to shovel shite
I hope the jobby's finished and that others you can tell
of your previous encounter with the cause of that bad smell!

Armac aka " the reel Rabbie "  :guitar: :guitar:

Robert you are indeed the 21st century Bard, or perhaps Barred to distinguish you from the one that talks about timorous beasties and all that old fashioned guff we had to suffer in school. If i ever win the lottery, which might involve buying a ticket I suppose, I will employ you as a minstrel to record my adventures in song and verse from a few paces behind, ideally playing a lute.
Sorry I missed the show and the shite shovelling went well and no one has died yet....
Cheers

I have tried to answer the following questions you posed me with

" Robert you are indeed the 21st century Bard, or perhaps Barred "
I never had that privilege, always had doors left open for me! :P

"to distinguish you from the one that talks about timorous beasties and all that old fashioned guff we had to suffer in school. "
Must have been a posh school as we were only told to sit down and shut up :o

" If I ever win the lottery, which might involve buying a ticket I suppose, "
Don't care, as I won a lottery on Tuesday when Geoff fine tuned the settings on my amp, making me sound a bit less of a plonker on the plank that I made 42 years ago! :P :guitar: :guitar:

" I will employ you as a minstrel to record my adventures in song and verse "
I'm unemployable due to lack of cognitive function or something like that, it's close to being classed as hard of hearing and a bit thick with no memory, and I've often been told that by the one who knows everything! :o

" from a few paces behind, "
Calum everyone is at least two paces behind your lanky legs trying to keep up with you!

" ideally playing a lute." How many strings and what tuning ? :guitar:

That should answer your questions in some detail
Cheers
Robert wae nea Burns ( or brains )
P. S.
No one has died yet but I may have that doubtful honour if I don't get off here 8-)
